23/02/2022 10:09
Can you imagine going to the supermarket without a barcode that allows quick, easy and secure identification? It would be complicated.

Retail & Consumer Goods is one of the most developed business areas in the application of the EAN system, specifically in the use of bar codes.

The bar code, in its best known form (EAN-13), gave rise to an identification system – unique and unequivocal – capable of responding to the needs and specificities of all elements of the value chain. Producers, distributors and retailers benefit from using these standards, achieving the same result: the efficiency of their business.

Since the creation of the EAN system, Retail & Consumer Goods companies have been actively collaborating with our association. The result is an Identification and Capture System that is increasingly complete and capable of responding to the constant change in the needs and requirements of the various elements of the business chain.

Thus, the bar code makes the relationship between the various agents more efficient and sustainable, always with the objective of improving people's lives, every day.

Automatic, global and safe, the EAN Identification standards are today fundamental and indispensable for the Retail & Consumer Goods sector, being able to solve business issues such as: Order to cash, B2C, Product Authentication, Traceability, Master Data Management.
